Childbirth and Other Miracles

CRAZY AWESOME WEEK.
Monday I dropped Sister Sister Trent off in Lansing... super sad. #tears  Then I spent the day in Kalamazoo with the other Sisters who were training.  We stayed there for a few days.  They were so much fun I loved it.  Highlights of K-zoo
1) door knocked into a super less active guy whose reasoning for going less active was that he didn't get married
2)had to lessons with two people at the same time while walking down the street (only in a trio)
3) went to a members house and held chinchillas, gerbils, bunnies, and got to listen to one of the daughters play Gorillaz on ukelele
4) Had a blast.
Thursday I picked up my child!! She is so cute! So hard working and so prepared and just adorable.  I love her.  Then when we got back to our area we got a call from Ruth Anne and ya know what she said..... SHE WANTS TO BE BAPTIZED!!!!! We were blown away I nearly dropped the phone.  It was so great.
Friday we did some service and went door knocking and weekly planned... Not to much happened
Saturday we also did service and door knocked and had a great lesson with Ruthanne.  We are so excited for her to be baptized.  This area is so great.  We also got a temple date set for Marilyn and Ruthanne to go after they are baptized. I LOVE MISSIONARY WORK
Sunday was great.  We had a ton of people at church and the spirit was just so strong the whole time.  We had FHE later that night and it was so amazing.  I just love the people here.  Also Sunday night I got to call and  tell 3 missionaries who would eat at Ruthannes about her baptism and they were so excited. It made me so happy to see how happy all the missionaries got.  I was on cloud nine the rest of the night.
Fun fact: I tried to be a good little trainer and make my child breakfast this morning..... I burnt 3 pancakes and the smoke alarm went off.  Molly may think she's the burnt pancake child but lets be honest.... it's me.  #foggygenestrikesagain
I love  this gospel! Also sorry I have no pictures.. I still need a cord.

I'M PREGNANT!!

Hello!! Super GREAT week here in Big Rapids....(Even though I feel like I e-mailed like yesterday) We got transfer calls this week and I'm super bummed Sister Trent is leaving, but I get to train a new missionary which will be a blast! Here's what else happened this week.

Tuesday we taught D, she is pretty sick, poor thing.  We watched a church movie with her and then she had to go to the Hospital... Pray for D.

Wednesday was AMAZING!!! We had our last district meeting which was fun, I'll miss this district.  Then we went door knocking after and had a SUPER fantastic experience.  We were on someone's porch and they pulled up just as we were there (I normally hate that because it is awkward)  BUT they totally invited us in and we sat down and had a lesson.   They said they had just been talking about finding a church on their way home, so it was PERFECT timing. It was an amazing lesson, the spirit was so strong.  They are a cute young couple getting married in July! Then we had a great lesson with T, her boyfriend was there and he is less active and so it was good to see them learning together.  Then we had a lesson with C and L (the other couple we found a few weeks ago) and they told us they will come to church! Pray that they will! Their friend was there and they were all blown away by the fact that we don't watch TV haha it is possible!

Thursday was fun! Sister Trent got to go to the temple, so I worked down in Wyoming for the day with one of the STLs.  It was super fun! We got to bake cookies with old people with Alzheimer, they were so sweet.  We took one for a walk after and she was SO  grateful.  I got to teach a few of their investigators down there as well which was fun.

Friday we got T-CALLS!! I was super bummed to hear Sister Trent was leaving, but she has been here for 7 months, so we expected it.  And I'm excited to train, so that made it better too. Then L took us to lunch to get Chinese food it was awesome, gotta love L.  Then we went finding, and then we taught D.  She's sad to see Sister Trent go.  Then we watched finding faith in Christ with T.  I love her.  Then we went out to Rs for dinner and SHE'S READING THE BOOK OF MORMON!!! And she went visiting teaching with her mom! Crazy! Great stuff is happening here in Big Rapids!

Well that is about all!  I love you guys and the gospel and the great land of Michigan

Fun Fact:   When I was in Wyoming we got to watch the cute old people do a work out video.  It made my life.  I LOVE OLD PEOPLE!!  .  Also there will be no e-mail from me on Monday.

I'm broke and hoooommmeleeesss (Say in John Ralfio voice)

Man. What a week.

Monday was P-day, Nothing super cool happened I don't think

Tuesday the Hepworth's picked us up after lunch and we got some great ice-cream.  Then we drove out to a less active family that I have never met and they were so cool!! They were awesome!

Wednesday we had district meeting which was great as always. The Hs also took us to dinner which was GREAT Then we taught C. and L. later that night, they are SO COOL!! They are reading and stuff, they have some stuff they still need to work out, but I have a lot of faith in them.  They seriously are some of my favs. They also gave us a ride home because it was raining.

Thursday was carfast, and we walked everywhere and only talked to like 2 people.  That was lame.  We had a good lesson with S. though.  She wants to come back to church.

Friday was crazy.  Sister Trent was planning on going to the temple that day, and I was going to spend the day in Wyoming and we were going to switch companions with the sisters down there but... Our ride bailed... Luckily Bro. R. my old Mission leader was passing through, so he took us out to lunch.  We had to walk an hour to the place and Sister Trent got some nasty blisters so he gave her a blessing. Then we walked to the dollar store to buy band-aides but sister Trent had no money left.  So we kept door knocking for like 2 hours, I was pretty delusional and tired and HOT and so we were around D's neighborhood so we thought we'd give her a visit and it started POURING we were drenched.  Michigan rainstorms are insane.  So we got to the place Debra lives at and went to go see her... she wasn't even there and all of the people there thought we were insane because we were drenched..... Then we walked home! Luckily the H's gave us a ride.  That day would have been the worst but luckily the Rs took us to lunch! It made my day seeing people from my last area.

Saturday.... ha, you all will probably think I am a terrible missionary for Saturday.  So we can't use our car because we have like 0 miles so after a lesson we had, a member took us to lunch.... then to get a pedicure... then shopping.  I felt guilty but Hey, she hasn't come to church since Christmas and she came! There are many ways to do missionary work I guess.  We also had a lesson with R that night... Downloaded the gospel library app so hopefully that helps.

Sunday we had church, M's husband gave a lesson in Sunday school which was GREAT! Still working on him! He's cool. For FHE that night we had an acupuncture lady come which was interesting, but hey, she want's to learn about the church!! Yay!

Monday, we got kicked out of our apartment because they were fixing our windows, and we had no money for groceries and the library was closed... so we hung out in our car for a while (hence the title broke and homeless)  We taught D that night and visited L.

So I will be e-mailing Saturday this week because transfers will be happening on Monday, so we are taking our p-day on Saturday. Weird week!

Fun fact:  Here are some L quotes for you.....

Me:"Can you do a good Elvis impersonation L?"

Larry:"Only after a couple of drinks"

Me: "Is Tiger Track ice cream better than Butter Pecan?"

Larry:"No that's blasphemy."

L FOR THE WIN! The people of Big Rapids are top notch.

LOVE YOU ALL! Love being a missionary, even when it is stressful and exhausting, it still is amazing.
