Hola Familia! I can't believe I am writing another weekly e-mail I feel like I just did this but here we go!
Monday we got to go to dinner at a member's house and she is an artist so there was a ton of cool art around and her husband is Hungarian so he made great food! Also we had a great lesson with T!
Tuesday was a little uneventful... we almost got in a car accident and died because I am a terrible driver.... oh also a cute lady let us in while we were door knocking and she told us about her nephew that just passed away so we got to teach the Plan of Salvation and I think she really liked it! We also had a lesson with a less active woman at the church and she was having a really rough day but luckily there were people there to give her a blessing! It was a tender mercy.
Wednesday we had district meeting and.... not much else happened. It was cold and we got crazy looks from people for being outside... it was so cold I felt like a pioneer!
Thursday we taught N and she had a lot of questions, but they were good questions! She is truly seeking AND not to mention she passed out three light the world cards this week! She's legit. Then we taught T the Law of Chastity (sister B's first time tee hee) Then we door knocked and people were SO NICE!! Three people let us in and some old people gave us chocolate and we prayed that we would find someone whose name started with a J and the last door we knocked on her name was Jenny! Heavenly father hears prayers!
Friday We weekly planned and door knocked and we got to teach a cute girl about the Book of Mormon! Perks of the cold is sometimes really Christlike people let you in!! Then we rode the bus to the Christmas party which was fun and we got to help little kids with crafts!
Saturday we got to go to a baptism for the Elders investigators! It was great! Then we went door knocking and we got to help someone get there car unstuck because the roads were terrible. We had 4 people trying to get a 16 year old unstuck... it was cool to see people get involved in a simple Christlike act of service. The Christmas spirit is real! We were struggling Saturday night to be productive because all our lessons had cancelled and we had a tender mercy of getting to have a snowball fight with the cutest black kids ever in the street. It was one of my favorite moments of my mission, not sure why, I think just because Heavenly Father knew little kids would brighten my day
Sunday was great! Church wasn't cancelled so we got to take the sacrament! Yay!! I missed that! Also we got to go to a member's house for dinner and we got to make Ginger bread houses.... I actually was patient and worked really hard on mine and it was all good until about 3 seconds before we got home... then it collapsed...#justmyluck
Well I love serving here and I truly am feeling the spirit of Christmas this week!
Fun fact: Sometimes, you work really hard on your snowball throwing skills, and you think you are good after 15 hours of door knocking, but then little black kids make fun of you because you have terrible aim.... LOVE IT.
Also I know I look terrible in all of these pictures. Don't judge me.
